Meet Tom Storms.
Tom started out at IBM Australia, then spent years building websites through leading Brisbane marketing agencies, working across clients big and small. During COVID he took the studio he'd run since 2010 and made it his full-time focus. That's Dev Wise Studio: sixteen years of the same hands, still shipping.
We're a small Brisbane-based studio, not an agency with layers. The person who talks to you is the person who builds your site. We work with a trusted network of designers and developers when a project calls for it, but the accountability stays in one place.

We talk before we sell.
Templates have their place. Custom builds have theirs. We'll work out what actually fits before we quote, and we'll tell you if you don't need us.
Honest pricing.
Tell us roughly what you've got to spend and we'll be straight about what's realistic in it. We price to the actual work. No padding, no mystery line items.
No buzzwords. No surprise invoices.
We'll talk tech when it's useful and plain when it isn't. What we won't do is dress up simple things in agency-speak or send you bills you weren't expecting.
The same people, year after year.
Most agencies churn developers. Some of our clients have had the same person on their site for a decade. That continuity is the relationship we're after.
We're honest about fit.
If a project's going to be a nightmare for either of us, we'll say so. We'd rather lose the work than do it badly. But the right challenge, like tech that's new to us or a request out of left field, is exactly what we're up for. We just won't pretend to know what we don't yet.
